“Grab the Lion!” – the latest production by Tedy Moskov from DKT “Vasil Drumev” – Shumen
How do you grab a lion? And then – how do you escape its embrace? Will that embrace be a dance or a fight? And who will be holding whom – you the lion, or the lion you?
In fact, “Grab the Lion” is the name of the delightfully eccentric hero of our whimsically mad production. He named himself this way because he imagined he was a knight and needed a name that would inspire awe.
We invite you on a theatrical journey through an imaginary Middle Ages, full of absurd humor, brought to life by clumsy knights wearing “recycled” armor.
The show is about a special kind of foolishness – clownish foolishness – where we search for salvation from the unpleasant practicality that grips good-natured people only to turn them unpleasant.
The performance is inspired by the film “The Brancaleone Army,” directed by the legendary Italian comedy filmmaker Mario Monicelli. Monicelli himself gave his consent for this adaptation to director Tedy Moskov – not only gladly but also in front of the BNT cameras.
