The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most captivating and masterfully skilled ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, "Mhedruli" means "Horseman Warrior"—an idea embodied in the ensemble’s signature dance, known for its fiery energy, unique technique, and astonishing craftsmanship that will be performed live on stage.
"Mhedruli" is also the name of one of the oldest alphabets in the world, still in use in Georgia today. It has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, alongside Georgian polyphonic singing, which will leave audiences breathless during the ensemble’s concerts.
Founded in 2002, Mhedruli has held the status of State Ensemble since 2011. It has received acclaim in countries such as Turkey, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and achieved overwhelming success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The performance presented to the Bulgarian audience is titled "The Spirit of Georgia". It tells the story of the nation—its history, legends, and profound love for God, Women, and Mothers.
