The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most captivating and masterfully skilled ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, “Mhedruli” means “Horseman Warrior”—also the inspiration behind the ensemble’s signature dance, known for its fiery temperament, unique technique, and artistry that audiences will witness on stage!
“Mhedruli” is also the name of one of the oldest scripts in the world, still in use in Georgia today. It has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, along with Georgian polyphonic singing, which will leave audiences breathless during the ensemble’s concerts.
Founded in 2002, the ensemble received State Ensemble status in 2011. It has earned international acclaim in countries such as Turkey, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and enjoyed resounding success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The show presented to the Bulgarian audience is titled "The Spirit of Georgia"—a journey through the country’s history, legends, and love for God, Women, and Mothers.
