BULGARIAN WRESTLING LEAGUE PRESENTS: FIRST CLASH

On September 27, 2025, the very first professional Bulgarian wrestling show of its kind will take place in Sofia, organized by the newly established Bulgarian Wrestling League. The event will be held at the Pirotska 5 Event Center and will feature a spectacular clash of heroes, world-class action, and the first defense of the official Bulgarian Championship title.
The announcement was made Monday morning by native Bulgarian wrestler Damian Tangra, who until recently had been building his career entirely overseas. In addition to his first title defense, "The Bulgarian Khan" promised “guests from around the world” and the debut performances of graduates from the Bulgarian Wrestling Academy.
The Bulgarian Wrestling League is a natural continuation of the Academy founded in 2024, where Bulgarian athletes train under world-renowned coaches such as British veteran James Mason and Austrian Michael Kovac, who helped shape WWE star Gunther. In January this year, the Academy’s students had the opportunity to gain insights directly from Bulgaria’s own wrestling superstar Rusev, before he returned to the U.S. for televised appearances.Among the Academy students stepping into the ring on September 27 will be YouTube influencer Kobi and Nick St. from the metal band Overhook.
In the promotional video for the debut show, titled "First Clash," Tangra issued a challenge to any wrestler daring enough to face the Bulgarian Khan in the ring and try to take his title. Time will tell who will be the first to try and rule over the emerging Bulgarian wrestling scene.
"First Clash" marks the debut of a new genre of sports entertainment in Bulgaria—one that blends physical competition with showmanship and audience engagement.Ticket Pricing:
