At the initiative of Lili Ivanova, the “Lili Ivanova” Foundation will mark the 100th anniversary of one of Bulgaria’s greatest and most beloved actors, Georgi Partsalev, with a grand performance on the stage of Hall 1 at the National Palace of Culture on December 14, 2025.
The script is entrusted to Kalin Sarmenov and the direction to Nikolay Mladenov. The full ensemble of the Aleko Konstantinov Satirical Theatre, where Partsalev performed for 32 active creative seasons, will participate in the event.
Lili Ivanova herself will take part in the show, alongside her LI ORCHESTRA.
The audience will witness more than 60 musicians and actors on stage. The impressive stage design, decorations, lighting, and professional sound are entrusted to the teams of the Satirical Theatre, the “Lili Ivanova” Foundation, ProCinema, and TNS – Antoine Hadad.
The greatest challenge of the show is to bring Georgi Partsalev “back to life” on stage, through a specially crafted hologram developed since the beginning of 2025 by MP-STUDIO.
For the first time in Bulgaria, a new technology will be used in which a real actor performs live in real-time, but what the audience will see on stage is the image of Georgi Partsalev. This will allow the audience in Hall 1 to experience the most lifelike return of the great actor to the stage.
MP-STUDIO are among the pioneers in light art in Europe, with 17 years of experience and over 700 global projects. They have received numerous international awards and have projected on some of the world’s most iconic buildings, including:
Al Wasl Expo City Dubai, the Brandenburg Gate, the Bolshoi Theatre, the Votivkirche in Vienna, the Berlin TV Tower, the Emir of Kuwait’s operetta, Han Cave, the City Hall of Rome, Maraya in Saudi Arabia, the Brussels Stock Exchange, the Noorderkerk Church in Amsterdam, the Mimara Museum in Zagreb, and more.
They are the creators and organizers of the LUNAR Festival of Lights.

My reverence for the Actor and the Person led me, in 2019, to ask the renowned Bulgarian sculptor Georgi Chapkanov to immortalize him in a statuette, which is now in my home.
Preserving the memory of his life and artistic legacy, and honoring the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Georgi Partsalev with dignity, is a duty for all of us as a society!”
