From the creators of the “Bulgare” Ensemble and the Festival of the Folklore Costume in Zheravna.
Get ready for Bulgaria's newest folklore attraction – "A NIGHT IN THE PAST" – a spectacular mega-production by the "Bulgare" National Folklore Ensemble in partnership with the Open-Air Regional Ethnographic Museum "Etar" in Gabrovo.
The Revival-era village will transform into the world's largest stage, where hundreds of dancers, actors, musicians, and singers will come together in one interactive performance, directed by the choreographer of "Bulgare" – Hristo Iv. Dimitrov.
Every corner of the museum will come to life with performances by some of Bulgaria’s most distinguished folklore artists, transporting every visitor back to the Revival period.
According to Hristo Iv. Dimitrov, no one has ever seen anything like this before.

July 4 & 5, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM until 1:00 AM
The program will be identical on both nights

What to Expect:
A large-scale, interactive performance amidst the authentic historical backdrop of the museum
Participation by over 200 performers – dancers, singers, musicians, and actors
Each area of “Etar” will come alive with scenes from the Bulgarian Revival era

These are promotional prices for tickets purchased in advance.
Rules:
Wearing a folk costume is optional, but provides a discount on entry
Mobile phone conversations are allowed only in designated areas, to avoid disturbing the performances
Photography is allowed
The event is not similar to the Zheravna Festival – the only shared element is the theme of traveling back in time
Important:
Limited capacity – only 2,000 attendees per evening
Pre-purchasing tickets is strongly recommended to secure a spot and take advantage of the lower price
